I get recruiting offers all the time, everyday and have so for a few years. Rarely do I pay attention to them because most recruiters and recruiting firms suck. The majority of recruiters do not do their homework and they shotgun their jobs to everyone within earshot or social blast.

Here is a recent email that I received that actually got my attention. If you are recruiting top talent for very specific positions at top companies, do what Lydia did:

The reason why this recruiter was successful and got my time and attention to reply was the transparency in the email. She was crystal clear with the intent, showed me the exact offer, it was a credible offer from a company that I would actually want to work for.
